Racial Spotlight: Halflings

August 10, 2017 By Drew Latham Leave a Comment

Your race is the heart of your character. It is who they are at their core. Their thoughts, feelings, and upbringing are influenced by their race. This week we’ll be taking a look into the races of D&D and how they shape your character. Today we’ll be talking about halflings.

Halflings are the fun loving little ones of D&D. They may be small, but these guys have a lot of spunk. They enjoy their second breakfasts before going out to adventure, relying on their charisma and luck to see them through. They mesh well with parties of any race, since they’re so friendly. They make fast friendships and will stick with you until the end.

Halflings can be light or stout. Stout halflings are essentially light dwarves. Light halflings make for great stealthy characters. Halflings can make for some of the most fun characters. What character will you create? Will it be a halfling, or one of the other races that we’ll cover this week? Let me know in the comments below. Until then, keep those dice rolling high!
